The Institute of Engineering and Technology was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1984 .The institute has been established in a 100 acres area on Sitapur Road opposite Marion Police Station about 15 kms, from Lucknow Charbagh Railway Station. Three wheeler, maxi cabs and city bus are available for the institute from all corners of the city. The institute is also accessible from Aliganj extension side for which the three wheeler are available from Charbagh, Aminabad, I.T. college crossing etc. I.E.T has earned a reputation for its discipline, regular session continuous evaluation system emphasis on multidimensional but integrated development of personality & outlook of its student and highly qualified and motivated faculty.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme was started in the year 1998.The mission of the MBA Programme is “to provide excellent quality Management education coupled with activities to further enhance social and intellectual growth”. It is a two-year full time course spread over four semesters. The programme is duly approved by AICTE and affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow.

The programme grooms the conceptual and analytical skills of the students that help them to adapt to the ever-changing environment of the corporate world. The course structure is fully updated and approved by AICTE. The academic records of the students prove the worthiness of the programme. The programme aims at bringing together the students from diverse geographical and educational backgrounds like science, arts, commerce, engineering etc. and grooms their conceptual and analytical skills so as to streamline their talents to adapt to the ever demanding requirements of the modern business world.
